NYC Trip

I took advantage of being on the other side of the country for business, and spent a day in NYC. Loved it. NYC is amazing. Just had an overnight, but took in as much as I could. Can't wait to go back, with Loo, soon and spend more time.

Parsippany, New Jersey

Remember the first part of Karate Kid when 'the kid' shows up at the hotel for the first time? This is before he gets his ass handed to him by the bully fella on the beach. Anyways, he passes an old lady sitting by the pool and they exchange this gem of screen writing. By the way, I'm in Parsippany tonight, for work. I know you think it is, but really it's not exciting.

Peep Show

I spent the day between the couch sick as a dog. Don't know why, don't care why. I'm off to New Jersey and then New York tomorrow, for work, and just want to get better. My pretty little lady, Lindsay is taking care of me now, and what do I do to show my thanks? I check out a peep show. Here it is for you:

Three Symbols

Found this pic, of 3 major symbols, on a fellow motorcyclist's site. He was just starting his Viet Nam deployment, purchased a camera and this was his first self portrait. Thoughtful.

Orange Food

Browsing through some of my old camera phone pics, I ran across snapshots from a lunch Loo and I took at Calamity Jane's in the SODO neighborhood of Georgetown. I had the (messy) Buffalo chicken sandwich--with Cheetos! You have to get your hands dirty to enjoy this food, and we sure did. Good grub.

Tux Rental Strike One

I confidently walked into Men's Warehouse today with Lindsay, looking for a tuxedo to rent for the wedding. Four minutes later we walked out. Apparently they only had two selections at this location, pimps and prom. Not really what I'm looking for. Managed to snap a pic of our favorite one, though.Time for more research.

Yost/Dale Update

The tickets to Dallas are purchased. Done.

Secured a room at the W in Dallas for the day of/after the wedding (Thanks Rusty). Done.

All the honeymoon details are final. Maui Prince (above), Jeep, airfare. Done.

Late last night we got all our 2007 taxes submitted to the accountant. Done.

House sitter, Murphy sitter locked in. Done.

Teeth cleaned. I need to floss more. Done.

Tux to be measured tomorrow. Motorcycle shopping (stress relief) for me tomorrow too.

Whew.

One of Me in Each Hand

I'm back at the gym again, after taking a long two months off for no good reason. I forgot how much I like it, it's a place to focus and distract at the same time. Anyways, I ran across this footage of Ronnie Coleman pushing around some serious pounds, 200 lbs in each hand. Jeez. I bet he gets the lids off his spaghetti sauce jars fast.
