We're right smack in one of the most beautiful places in the US, so Lindsay and I took action and when a spare bit of time showed up we sprinted out into the woods for a day hike of Tipsoo Lake. I had just discovered this area on my motorcycle trip with JP a few months ago and swore I'd come back and check it out...so I'm back. I won't try and capture the trip with my anemic narrative, but instead toss a few of the pics I took out here into the blogasphere and hope you get the idea that it was beautiful, powerful and yet communal (lots of people out on the trail) all at once. BTW, the whole time on the trail I was thinking about how much my Dad would enjoy this. Enjoy the pics Dad.

That IS beautiful. I'm sure your dad WOULD enjoy it immensely, but so can the rest of us! Especially those of us stuck in the natural beauty black hole AKA Las Vegas.
Good choice for a hike! Be sure to go back up there come fall, it's pretty incredible up there with all the colors on display. -JP
Magical! It never ceases to amaze me what nature can create if we just leave it alone.
